Yoga Classes

Homebody offers both children’s and adult yoga classes. Yoga classes are catered to your needs and can be individual or group and at your home, backyard or local park. Classes will be offered for single sessions or on an ongoing basis.

Adult Yoga

I am familiar with a variety of yoga styles and adapt my classes based on the group in front of me. My physical therapy background means a focus on good form and keeping your body safe, as well as finding alternatives when a pose is not serving your body. Do you want yoga as part of a home spa day or mother’s night out? Or does your running group needs a good after-run stretch or cross training? I am open to your ideas, so if you are looking for something specific, we can work together to make the yoga class that it right for you.

Children’s Yoga

Yoga offers so much for children’s bodies and minds. A children’s yoga class does not always look like an adult one. For the youngest yogis, classes might include a book theme, a few animal poses and throwing and catching a scarf. As children get older (usually around 3rd grade), the classes look a bit more like adults but with timing and themes that keep the children’s interest. Pre-teens and teens often benefit from a focus on stress-relief and poses that stretch their rapidly growing muscles. I can work with your child or group of children for engaging classes that offer the benefits they need. This might be themed preschool classes, sport-specific yoga for crosstraining athletes or entertainment for a child’s birthday party.
